A Medicare Advantage Plan is a type of Medicare health plan offered by a private insurance company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A (Hospitals) and Part B (Doctors) benefits. When you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, Medicare services are covered through the plan and temporarily replace Original Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans are popular with Seniors because they offer clients predictable deductibles, co-pays and oftentimes prescription drug coverage. They may also feature additional benefits that Original Medicare doesn’t cover, such as Dental, Vision and Hearing coverage.
